| Crick's arrival has highlighted the fact that we are terrible at staying on topic in threads. She has a very valid point in that it makes the forum difficult to read for new members or guests. I would like to think that we could attract new members from people who stumble across this place but I wonder if the disorganisation may put potential members off. I've let things run on as they have so far because this is what seemed to happen on the old Somerset forum. But as this place is not necessarily focussed on Somerset and we have members from around the country and across the globe, now may be a good time to try to have a bit of a tidy up. I'm thinking that The Lounge can be left as a "free for all" and threads can continue to meader unchecked but that threads in other forums should try to stay on topic as much as possible. I'll make a new section for news and interesting or serious stuff to discuss so that things can be posted there without the danger of thread hijacking and derailment - so basically - chat and muck about in The Lounge but try to keep other areas on topic please. I welcome your comments on these changes and also any other suggestions - please post them in THIS thread though otherwise I might not notice them | |

| They're birthmarks Tom, don't be so rude, you'll really knock her confidence if you carry on like that, poor girl | |
