| My christmas turkey exploded.
That was the year after the dog ate the turkey that I left to defrost in the kitchen.

| There was this one time...I made jam and it didn't set right. It was edible but just not jammy enough. Next time I made jam I put more apple in it(for the pectin) and um....it was not dissimilar to blackberry glue/toffee. Glad to say I now can make jam and it's just right. Phew! | |

| We make this cornflake crispy chocolate thing at work. Well, when I say we, I mean everyone else but not me. I can't make the bloody stuff! It just won't come out right. I can do my own version at home but I can't do the work one | |

| When i first started working in hotels they put in the kitchen. The first thing the chef said was he wanted me to stuff the Turkey. I got a police caution and a forty pound fine. | |

| I made some gnocchi once and I didn't have enough flour, so it turned out like very tasty soup. I was really upset as I'd spent all day making it.
I also only made Yorkshire pudding once...

| My mate told me that his wife made dinner for him and his 2 daughters and one son one night. He said that as far as he could make out, she had put a chicken into a pan with no seasoning at all, then boiled it for a while. I said that I really must get the recipe for 'Chicken in Water' as we called it, and now the subject is absolutely out of bounds.

| Bloke goes to the doctor and says he has had an unfortunate 'accident' whereby he slipped in the shower and landed on a lettuce which he cannot get back out of his rear-end. Doctor asks him to remove trousers and bend over so he can have a look. Eventually doctor stands up, man asks what the prognosis is, and doctor says: "That's just the tip of the iceberg." | |
