Hello and some local news for Central Somerset Empty
PostSubject: Hello and some local news for Central Somerset   Hello and some local news for Central Somerset Icon_minitimeSat Jan 30, 2010 7:59 pm

Hi everyone,

I understand that this is a forum which has several members based in and around Glastonbury and Street in somerset.

Just to let you know that very shortly there will be a new local interactive website www.glastonburypeople.co.uk going live which will enable people in Glastonbury, Street and the local villages share their news, views, reviews and items of interest.

If you are interested you can register and post anything you like that is relevant to the local area : news stories, photo galleries, events that are occurring: from local fetes, to amateur theatre, to village hall gigs to massive festivals and anything in between.

For now you can follow us on Twitter : www.twitter.com/glastonburynews and once the site is launched there will be a facebook fan page too.

For an idea of what it will be like, visit http://www.localpeople.co.uk/towns.html for a list of the towns that are already live.

And even if you aren't local to this area we'd still love to hear from you.

I'll update you with more info when I have it (hopefully soon) You'll be able to sign up and post news about your shop as well as anything else of interest, and talk about anything relevant to the Street/Glastonbury area (though not in a forum style) but adding and replying to stories etc.

The website is now live, so sign up and get involved (even if you aren't from the area you can still sign up and have a say - we're not that local that we don't accept strangers.

Sorry, there were a few technical hitches on Friday, but it should be working ok as of Friday evening.

What sort of problems were you having?

You need to sign in with a valid email address, select a password, then a username and off you go - then you should accept the T&Cs and off you go - try again and let me know if it is working now.

Looks like Dave has managed it and he doesn't even have a PC.

When I try to login it's telling me my email address or password are incorrect even though I've entered them correctly

I expect it's those terrorists preventing us from logging on. Either that or global warming.
