I knew you were an American when I understood your post in the Forsty thread and nobody else did... Thank goodness I have another American around... somebody I can understand and who may understand me too!

I haven't actually checked to see if it's listed in your profile, but since you like the Steelers and you love Hockey, I'm going to assume you're from up North near Michigan or Wisconsin... somewhere in that area... it's a total stereotype, but I'd be curious to know how close I am.

Hiya Crick! Actually I'm on the other side of the country from you...Pennsylvania. But you got the up north bit right! Wink I've been to the Sonoran desert though...beautiful country there...I was in Tucson for a few months back in high school and have been all over AZ...Sedona, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Phoenix/Tempe, Tucson, Tombstone and even crossed the border in Nogales. There is a very special place in my heart for Arizona.

Aw, hang around the Brits long enough and they grow on you...like fungus. Wink Actually, I'm very fond of them too...had a lovely time my two trips over and plan on going back next year some time.

I am only asking for the benefit of Dave.

Is he not government eligible?

I am Black in name only, my dear...but having said that I'm Black and proud...that anecdote goes over much better if you know me so...erm... Razz As for my cherry...I'm as pure as the driven snow! Or at least as pure, as the bits that have been driven over and have collected on the side of the road...so take that as you will.

Amazing what brings people together!

OK, not really...

But I couldn't be more pleased that my intro thread went in this direction.

LOL - most threads eventually seem to mine a similarly dark place however well intentioned they start out.

Yes, but admittedly we all get a gasp, a giggle, and a thrill when we slip in the dark place!

I've said too much...

I was going to say Pennsylvania as my first guess, but I thought that was too obvious since you said you like the Steelers.... I should have known though! I love it here in the Sonoran Desert... I live in Tucson and I think it is the best part of Arizona... I've been to the other places and they just aren't the same... especially Nogales, I don't like it there at all!

If you ever take a trip out West in my area, maybe we could meet for coffee. Sometime soon I will visit my family in Kentucky and then head up to New York to visit my husband's family... we plan to stop off at the Giant Clothespin... maybe we might bump into each other there. Smile

Yes Nogales was awful! My favorite was Tucson as well...I spent the most time there...the mountains were phenomenal looking out over the valley...and I was lucky enough to watch a lightning storm from the top of Mt. Lemon. That was probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. If I ever make it back out there (which I hope to do some day) you're on! Smile

I have a very good friend that lives in Lexington...whereabouts in Kentucky will you be?

The basic problem Justice has, whenever let out in public, the sudden realisation that his avatar is him. We've offered him to Darwin's descendants for further analysis but they can't handle his sharp wit and dirty monkey business. So sadly we have all accepted him for what he is. A dirty minded, filthy tongued, backward shagging knob jockey. To be fair he does find his way to the bar without prompting which makes up for the fact he's a fucking ape.

Oh I've known many a dirty monkey in my day...not in the biblical sense, but I digress...and often.

I was born and raised mostly in Lexington... most of my cousins live there and in Nicholasville. The rest of my family are just a little East of Lexington on the other side of Winchester... in Powell and Estill County.

My husband insists that we have to see the Giant Clothespin in Philly... do you know what it is and if it's worth stopping to see? I don't trust his judgement and from what I've seen of Philly on TV, I don't think I'd want to spend a lot of time there.

Does he go to strip clubs and start fights with the bouncers... or shoplift from Family Dollar stores? My husband says he remembers arresting a guy named Alan once or twice when he lived back in NY.

Hmm...most people from Pittsburgh don't have anything nice to say about Philthadelphia...if you're going for the history, it's a great town...but barring that I'm not a fan. Wink

No he's much too sophisticated and gentle to do that sort of stuff. He lives in a village called Greenwich at a square I presume named after someone famous. Washington or something similar. I must admit I did love it when I was over there for his seventieth birthday a few years ago. He's quite well known in the fine art and modern jazz circles, as well as being a bit of authority on Shelley china and printing most of the books for a small outfit calling themselves Disney. He may well have been escorted home a few times by policemen like your hubby, but I can't imagine him having plastic bags full of contraband stuff from a Family Dollar store.
