Why aren't you at work Duke, paying all those taxes to keep us pensioners in luxury?

Because he's waiting for an electrician who is answering the same question on another forum and blaming him. Now I really must go to work.

Another word for work is opus, and an anagram of opus is soup. So stay at home Tom, put yer feet up and have a bowl of hot broth. You know it makes sense.

Wonder wot's gonna happen on the 18th? Hope it all calms down, and they ALL appear. Don't you?

I suppose I could have mentioned Asperger's earlier... I wasn't sure if it would be used against me though. I got enough criticism for having athletes foot, and Autism is a much more serious condition. I did bing up my "mental health" in an attempt to "test the waters" and quickly retreated from the idea of "coming out". Not that it's a big secret... at least three, maybe as many as five, other people on this forum know about my diagnosis... I talk about it openly in places where I feel comfortable.

As for the story of the child with Asperger's... I have a son who behaves that way and I have had my fair share of those type of encounters... the funny thing about my son is, if you yell at him or (Gordon Brown forbid) grab him, he completely loses it! If an old man grabbed him, I'd be afraid of how badly my son wuld hurt him... he would certainly learn a lesson about grabbing Autistic kids.

Sorry Crick, but you mis-calculated the folk on here. It was banter not criticism. There's far too much intelligence and caring in these folk to be intentionally hurtful. And anyway most of us are bonkers and beyond any form of help.

Obviously, I don't know the difference between banter and criticism... I'll have to take your word for it. I was judging by my previous experiences and will try to give people here the benefit of the doubt in the future. And now that I think about it, what's the worst that could happen? Someone might say something to offend me? Pfft... like that's never happened before! Rolling Eyes

I don't think anyone is going to pussy foot around you in the future, Crick. You wouldn't want us to do that would you? That would be patronising, and I wouldn't sink to that level. You're still going to get the same treatment as the rest of us, and I would expect you to hand it back again too. That includes criticism too, as far as I'm concerned.

See what I mean Crick? Intelligent comment by someone who lied that he was going to work. No wonder he has customers waiting 12 years for a carving. Perhaps like good wine, your carvings improve with age Tom. My boats don't. they go rusty. That's why I'm not building one today. the rain'll make it wet.

You are probably reading it upside down.
