I suggest you invite Davie over. That would be a laugh. Don't you think you should have an appropriate avatar, now you are in charge?

I might start deleting posts if they aren't controversial enough?

Perfect. All you need now is the lower half of the picture, showing the Max Wall tights.

Nothing wrong with Max Wall tights - I've been wearing them since I was a lad. I found that I could carry off the look in my teens and twenties, when I was a stereotypical weedy veban, but now that I'm in my early thirties with the figure of a fuller man (a belly fuller beer did it), the look is probably not so good.

Being of a teenage mentality I alas still carry on wearing them regardless.

Early thirties....... If you say so. The years have not been kind to you. There's nothing wrong with a teenage mentality. I've had the mentality of an 8 year old for over 50 years now.

I know that's what happens through years of cutting off your below waist blood supply with tight trews.

Some people say that I'm trying to recapture my youth, but I never let him out of the cellar, alongside those 10 women whose corpses are stinking the place up.

My avatar is my youth, peering through the letter box - from the inside. That's why he has a dreamy, drugged look in his eyes.

Don't worry Cat. The palpitations will no doubt be a milder form of the panic attacks, but just like it's ebbing away. I've had both types of thing, and it all goes away of its own accord. I'm sounding like some sort of doctor now, but I'm obviously not. If you are worried or unhappy, it will produce those sort of symptoms, and you just wait for things to change, with a bit of help from your friends. I promise you that.

P.S. Bereavement did it for me. Bereavement also takes different forms - sometimes it's just emotional separation.

Bloody hell Tom, that's the most 'heart felt' post I think you've ever made dearest! Agree though, emotional separation can be a bereavement, though have to say in all honesty that I've never felt that through the end of a boyfriend relationship, as I am a callous ruthless cow who has always initiated the end! Ha ha! But I felt bereaved when I left home prematurely at 17, thinking I was grown up and clever and then my parents fucked off 200 miles away and there really was no returning to the nest. That bereavement still lurks, just occasionally, creeps into the corner of my eyes and stings a little.....

Bloody hell for you too then Cat? Sorry to hear that, sounds grim, you poor thing, but hope the op sorts it out.I'm sure J will do a fine job of looking after the place for you!

Charm offensive what a great oxymoron.

However, you are more offensive than charming.

Yes, but the difference is, every time I go over the threshold, I get a blast of about 40,000 volts. Nice.
